LUNAR: The Silver Star / Data research progress
I'm doing some more editing of this game so I'd thought I'd post some of my progress. I hope to keep gathering data on this game so I can actually make a proper hack of it.

-------------

Changing the Dialogue text case.

Before and After:

-------------

I'm also in the process of making a small title screen/logo edit. Here's the first mock-up.

-------------

Guess what I found about an hour ago... I've got all the items and magic listed. :)

-------------

I should be starting on locating the shop data followed by the item/equipment stats. Once all the items/equipment/magic data is found I start on the monsters.

RE: LUNAR: The Silver Star \ Data research progress
Oh, and I plan on of course making an editor to edit these statistical data blocks along with some odds and ends. I'm excited about doing a hack of this game. The good news is I *think* I've located the map data...

*edit*
Oh, and the ironic thing is I've never beaten it. In fact my playthrough that I'm doing right now is the furthest I've got and I just got to Vane. HAHA!

RE: LUNAR: The Silver Star \ Data research progress
Well the good news is if you own a real Sega CD model 1 or 2 you can play burned copies of games on it. So I recommend trying out one of my EasyTypes for this game. I plan on releasing three variations of the hack with varying levels of changes. IE, 5,000 HP on one, 500 HP on the second, 150 HP on the third and so on. Kind of like a Full, Medium, and Light versions.

RE: LUNAR: The Silver Star \ Data research progress
I played Lunar when I got it for my 13th birthday. Loved it. I ended up beating it after like 50 hours. Its such a hard game. I can't wait to see more edits on this game.

I remember that birthday party, we had the opening on loop downstairs for like an hour while we all ate. Mel was there if I remember correctly. :)

RE: LUNAR: The Silver Star / Data research progress
Was taking a break from hacking and playing this game (and Sword of Vermilion). Had a desire to play some console games so I will update this and the other game mod thread when I resume working on them. :)
