Screw this...
Screw this economy. I'm tired of paying so much money in taxes and having it wasted and when it comes times in 30 years or so for me to retire I will see ZERO of that money in "social security".

We all should pay our money into a private account for ourselves. You get what you put in. I don't want to pay for some fucktard who's only worked shit-ass and or half-ass jobs their entire life. But, that's how it goes.

RE: Screw this...
Here the population will be so old in 30 years that there will be something like 1 active worker for 3 retired people. So the government pulled back the age to retire(and get a decent pension) to 67 instead of 65 years old. There might be some "future adjustment" which mean I will probably have to retire at 70 years old to be able to have a check from the government.

Like you say, we're better putting money aside in private accounts and prepare for the worst.

RE: Screw this...
That is a big part of the reason why I started my own business years ago. Still have to pay taxes obviously but I don't have to worry about losing my job due to an economy crash. I agree though so many people work very hard just so some random low life gets a little bit of something that doesn't belong to him/her.

RE: Screw this...
One of the things I like about the web is there's always a job out there for ya if you keep up with the tech. my job is actually moving me up to waltham, ma shortly. returning to boston which didn't thrill me at first, but I'm actually kind of excited now.

RE: Screw this...
I lived in Texas my entire life mostly Hooks / Texarkana, TX. I worked for A&M University - Texarkana as a Web Specialist for 2 and a half years. But Texarkana is the main reason why I even left it. I was being told everywhere that I was over qualified and never really knew what to think of that. I have always done my own business on the side doing Web Designs, Hosting, and Studio Photography. Since I met my g/f 4 years ago and moved to Washington D.C. / Reston, VA area it has been so much easier running my own business was able to go full time with it. Everything is twice as expensive here but I don't feel like I'm surrounded by people who can't work the basics of a computer. Plus this is a much better place in the area I live in to raise my kids I think.

The grass is definitely never greener on the other side. But this is new and new is good for business lol.

EDIT: On a side note I seriously doubt I will ever be told i'm over "qualified" in this area, i'm more of an ant here.

RE: Screw this...
Hopefully you've got a good 401k going. :)

We are an A&M family on both sides so that's good to hear you worked there. :)
